music video of the week #3

I chose this Japanese video for the fact that it defies much of the conventions found here in the west, and yet still is an interesting and fitting video. For starters, it is animated, and has no lypsynching- it is entirely narrative/conceptual based. The visuals and pacing of the video still match the music and lyrics, though, and amplify them. For example, the visuals clearly relfect the tone of the music, whether it is realtively calm or more enrgetic- at one point, a calm interlude is reflected by a less intensive night-time scene.
