final product audience feedback questions

  1. To what extent do the products resemble real-life, professional music videos, adverts and digipaks?
  2. Does the appearance of the products fit with the Indie Rock genre?
  3. Are the products appealing to look at? Are they interesting to the viewer?
  4. Is there anything you don't like about the products?
  5. How do they work together?

  1. 1) I believe that these products resemble their real life counterparts. The music video was well produced though I do think there was room for improvements. The poster/advert was also very good, I would make some minor tweaks to improve the relatively bland colour pallet, but apart from that I think that it fits the Indie genre well. I thought that the digipacks were especially well made and of a professional quality and reflect the overall feel and tone of the indie genre perfectly.

    2) I believe that all products fit the genre well, with well chosen fonts, pictures and settings (for the music video) that encapsulate the Indie Rock genre almost perfectly.

    3) Each of the products is moderately interesting to look at, though I would make some changes to the music video and poster if I wanted to fully catch the attention of the intended audience.

    4) I did not like the melancholy colour scheme used in the advert/poster, for this reason, I do not think that the poster would stand out against a wall, where I expect it would be placed. To improve this in the future, I would add emphasis to the important text at the top of the poster, with some eye-catching word art and a vivid colour that would contrast well with the slate grey background. To draw more attention to the members of the group, I would have them further away from the camera, this would make them stand out and ensure that the audience was focused on them or use a selective colouring tool to highlight them especially as otherwise they seem to just blend in.

    5) I think that all products work well together as a group, they have a consistent colour scheme and tone which works well across all products. I also think that maintaining a specific font across all platforms help to ensure that the audience is aware of the relationship between the three.

    Very good altogether!!
